    gasket knowledge needed!

Im having to change the nuts that hold the wastegate to the ex mani because the one's that are on are not self locking and thay have worked themselfs lose .
Have been to Audi and thay dont list a gasket! Is it a dry joint or do i use some sort of paste?

Could be but that doesn't match his description. Need a picture as it seems this may be miss described.

When I removed my WG there was no gasket between it and the manifold, installed it the same way and it doesn't seem to leak.
If there IS supposed to be a gasket there I would also be interrested in the partnumber.

Sorry guys, i got the wrong end of the stick, I was thinking of the turbo to manifold gasket. the WG doesnt have one to the EM but does to the short pipe onto the downpipe.

Called vag parts and thay didnt list a gasket either, so it's just a metal to metal join! I just cleaned them up with a very fine sanding block and bolted it back down with new self locking nut's. worked a treat!!
