Coolant warning light flashing, but only when car is in accessory mode

    Hi all,

First off, I'm not sure if it's correct for me to post this question here, or if it belongs on the electrical forum, please correct me if so.

Around a year ago, my 93' Audi 2.3E NG Cabriolet's engine overheated to the point that the coolant was boiling out of the reservoir.
I did not receive a coolant light while driving, but found out after having it parked. Not long after that, I replaced the MFTS, and all seemed to be fine. The temperature didn't exceed ~105 degrees while having it idle for an hour anymore.

What's interesting that since that day, the dashboard is showing a flashing warning light when the car is in accessory mode, so with the engine turned off (even when the engine is 0% cold). When starting the engine the flashing lights immediately go away, and don't come back while driving either.

Does anyone know what the issue might be, or has anyone experienced something similar? The only posts I could find about a flashing coolant light describe it as happening when driving the car.
