    ECU remapping

    hello all,

my brother is currently waiting for his new Ford Focus ST and he is thinking of the WOLF ecu bluefin remapping.

I was wondering,is it possible for something like that for our car?I mean could it be possible with a certain way to remap the car or use different program for the ECU with a click of a button?Or return to the OEM program at will?

that would be an interesting thought

Its def possible on newer cars. I know MRC are able to do dual maps now which cost more than a single map but it gives the option of say economy and max power maps

It's technically possible for our cars too.

Eco/max power isn't really a good example as they can be combined in one sw.
But different fues would be one quite possible scenario.

im only wondering if by making a big change, such as turbo, injectors, fuel pump, rods,em, etc it is possible to have the injectors and everything combined for a small power while those parts are capable of much more.
for example if one puts in a system for 450Hp or more, can it also use a program to obtain the 315 or 350 possibly that a regular RS2 would produce?or would all those parts form a restriction for such low outputs?

surely as long as it's mapped properly
it does n't matter if the engine and components
can cope with 500-600 bhp if the map is set at say
350 bhp it would mean that there is less
strain on the engine and componets

This is a nice thought for lets say, Bio-Ethanol and 98 RON Unleaded, or for with and without Water Injection.

excactly!because the water injection sometimes runs out and i know that it needs special ecu tuning to work with.
