Hey there guys! I hope this is the right place for this post. I finally got my crank back from the machine shop, and they didn’t talk to me at all about sizing or anything. Just gave me what they took off and out I went. I would greatly appreciate some advice.
(96 urS6 AAN, basic k24 hybrid setup)
Their specs are .020 on the rod journals, and .010 on the mains. My measurements are 1.861 inches on the rods (47.2694mm) and 2.272 inches for the
mains (57.7088mm)
Whenever I’ve built a motor in the past, it’s always been standard sizing. I’m pretty ignorant to undersizing bearings. What would you guys use? What clearances do you guys like to see, and what bearings do you guys prefer?
