KV Throttle cable help!

So I was cleaning the engine bay and I've accidentally done something to the throttle cable that is now lose and the accelerator pedal is flat on the floor.

A clip came off it , I picked it up buy I'm not sure if any parts are still missing and can't remember how it goes back together again. ?

If anyone could show me a picture of theirs, that would be useful, thanks.

Car is a 1987 b2 type 85 CQ

There should be a plastic threaded tube at the end of the cable. The clip holds it in position when the tension is set. Wind the tube back until the slack is taken up and insert the clip back to hold it in position.

I've reattached this little clip but the pedal is still on the floor?

Have a look at the other end. Has the bush 6 fallen off?

I found this on the floor in the passenger foot well.

I then lay on my back on the seat and found where it had come from..

I've temporarily hooked the throttle cable back into the arm.. is it safe leaving it like this?

Perhaps a cable tie will add some extra security?
