In holland there is a SQ with an Audi V8 engine. That makes me think: are there S2's UrQ or other I5's that has seen engine conversions? Like other S or RS models or maybe a big volume TDI?

Wab is doing a 4.2 V8 conversion in a CQ and there are pics on here of an S2 with a 2.7 bi turbo engine in it. -
if the car have IL5 ,so will ALL audi engine( not all 4syl) fit in... petrol or diesel...

A 4.2 V8 will fit in a coupe, but there are no engine mounts that bolt up. You have to fabricate some. You also have the problem of the water/oil/filter exchange unit being so close to frame rail and the existing coupe motor mounts. Some people use a cradle on the motor, some fabricat special mounts and put in a remote oil cooler and filter. Don't know about other motors.
