A few pointers (from someone who knows sweet FA about these things ) :
I'm sure you've checked that the new sensor is properly connected, but worth another look.
Did you have the G69 error before? Have you checked the connection of that sensor?
Hey Clive,
I had the 2113 fault last night which confirmed the hall sender was at fault. I'm not getting that at all now after the new one installed. This G69 fault is new, didn't have that before, I've checked pretty much every connection now, just had the throttle position plug off and cleaned and checked all wires. Seem ok.
Right, OK, so seems like the Hall sender is in, connected, working, etc, but just a word of caution - I didnt get the 2113 fault when we first checked with Vagcom - took a day for that to register.
Lets see what resetting the ECU does - good move

2112 = CRANKshaft position sensor. I've found this (thankyou forum) and am now getting out (bit easier that the camshaft sender) and gonna see what it's like.
Sorry I couldn't offer any advice, as I dont know anything about mechanics.... however, congrats on getting it done... I know how it feels to achieve it yourself, so much goes round in your head... and then once its over and it works its great...!
Nice one....

Yeah, I had the toys out of the pram on a couple of occasions but the sense of achievement now is pretty good.
Clive, should you have any probs with yours then gimme a shout as I think I went through almost all of them this morning!!!
I've got a 6 hour trek to Chester in a bit, really wanted to get this done before I go. I'm so pleased and the sun is shining that the S2 is going to be the car that takes me there! Bring on the A38!
Congratulations Dan. A great result for you there!
I am more than a little jealous that you are getting a day in the sun in your S2. I will have to wait a few more days to get mine finished but hopefully it will be back on the road next week....
Cheers,
Steve.

If you're in the S2 then it shouldn't take you 6 hours!! :mischeif: I've done it in 3 and a half! Good work this morning! I'm glad you've got it sorted
'93 S4 Avant now back on the road complete with new shiny go faster bits.
Oh joy of joys. I'm in Chester now, got here fine last night with no probs. Went to start the car this morning and the same thing!!!!!!
I'm getting the 2112 fault of the crankshaft position sensor.
I've had it out and cleaned it and waiting on the ECU to reset but if this doesn't work then I'm screwed. I have full RAC cover but will the take me all the way back to Plymouth???

What a ****** Dan
yes. They will take you all the way back but make sure that you tell them to bring a flattbed for your car.
Ive been stuck for 5 hours once when idiotic RAC couldnt load up a lowered RWD car on their normal tow truck.
It has to be flatbed for 4wd long distance towing
Dan, if you are really stuck and need some advice, I've got a Audi mechanic mate near Chester (Ellesmere Port) who can give you some pointers over the fone, or maybe even come to you.
Guys called Tim, number is 07725544492.
