    Low oil pressure issue

AAN motor in a '90 cq. Fresh rebuild, 105 miles on it right now. Used 20w50 oil but just swapped to 10w40, issue is the same with both oil weights.

Cold start the engine would show 5bar on the interior gauge and after warming up would idle at 2.5bar and 5bar under load. F1 oil pressure sensor would go off after a few minutes of driving as soon as the engine reaches 2800rpm. The interior gauge would still show 5bar while the F1 switch warning would go off.

F1 switch is above the F22 on this engine. I have not tried switching their locations.

Put a mechanical oil pressure gauge in the F1 location and it matched the interior gauge while idling and revving, did not drive the car. Tried other F1 switches, one new 1.8bar, one known good used 1.8bar, one new 1.4bar, and warning still appeared at 2800rpm, took a few minutes longer driving with the 1.4bar switch before it went off.

Mechanical guage back in the F1 location and taped to windshield to observe while driving. During driving the mechanical gauge slowly lost pressure and settled around 1-1.5bar and would not fluctuate with revs, interior gauge would show 5bar under load and 2.5 while idle during this.

Took F22 out of the bottom hole to check the check valve and saw the little cylinder shown in the picture. I need help identifying what it is and what it does. Its loose in there and while trying to get it out it got stuck in the check valve's triple square hole. I have had no luck getting it out and can't get the check valve out. I am doing this with the radiator in place so its very tight and hard to see.

Left it there and put F22 back and mechanical pressure gauge back in F1 spot. Now the car, while driving, is showing 1bar on the mechanical and 1.5bar on the interior gauge at idle and barely increases under load, maybe 1.2bar during slow acceleration on the mechanical gauge. The only change being getting that small piece stuck in the check valve socket hole.

Anyone know what that cylinder in front of the check valve is in the picture? Its not a ferrous metal, seemed hollow, does not look to have a hole through it, the black part feels soft but not o-ring soft.

Any other suggestions appreciated as well.
