    MaxxECU question

    Hello All!

For those of you that have experience with this system, might you know if a current tune must be removed before connecting the MaxxECU unit and installing their programming? Or, can the MaxxECU piggyback off the current tune package to improve upon it?

I am trying to get info on the current inferior tune file package that is no longer supported by the manufacturer and am being told by them, "After checking on this with my team, unfortunately, this information is not readily available, as we do not sell or support these chips any longer. I do apologize I wasn't able to assist further!"

So am I now stuck with this inferior tune package forever and ever or can it be blown out to start from scratch to make way for better programming?

    Thank you

Have not yet installed this unit as I am waiting for some information from both MaxxECU and, unfortunately, 034

Whatever I do, I am annoyed with myself for not fitting the rear main seal with a sender ring when I built the engine and I don’t fancy taking the box out for it. Also, there is no tried base map on their site and that work is my main weak spot (well, one of many) so the other idea is Link. With the car eventually going to New Zealand, it makes sense.
