I'm in a spot and need to decide which engine swap for my 1994 80 Quattro Avant with 12v 2.8V6. Use the S2 3B I had rebuilt 15 years ago and shamingly never used (and freshen it (inspection for flash rust, etc) with AAN ignition and ECU, or refresh a 100k mile AAN, and swap the bits to make it more like an ABY in the 80. I do prefer the AAN style timing belt tensioner instead of the 3b/7A pivoting water pump. I could use the 3b dizzy as a hall sensor input to the AAN ECU and put a tuna can cover on it. Suggestions, experiences please?
