Audi s2 (ABY) oil pressure sensor

Read a lot of posts about these sensors on here and from what I’ve gathered the aby engine uses two sensors. A 1.8 bar single wire and a 0.3 bar double wire.

ive got these two sensors, product codes are:

    Single - 056919081E
    Double - 035919561

on the double wire sensor it has the letters G and WK, are they in relation to what way the plugs go on?

also on my new one it doesn’t say G or WK but has 0.5 and 0.3.

ive attached images to show what I mean.

Don't worry too much. If you connect the two wires to the bigger sensor incorrectly, your aux gauge oil pressure will go right to max when you switch on the ignition.

As Dave say's it doesn't really matter if you get those wires the wrong way around, the Aux oil pressure gauge will simply read off the scale if they need swapping around...

I've blown up the pic of the back of your new sender, it's marked 0 - 5 with a symbol for the gauge and 0.3 marked with a cross in circle denoting the switch, the G and WK will mean the same thing in German.

Well fitted the switches and the twin cable sensor was wired in. Turned car on and gauge flew straight to max so swapped them over and tried again and went straight to max again just in a sweeping motion this time?

Sounds like you have good pressure then. To test properly, warm it up. Hot idle should be around 2 bar.

For anyone who needs both sensors for
the aby engine these are what I bought and both are working perfectly.

Good old Prestige Motor Services. I've used them a lot. Genuine NOS is guaranteed but the markup on some parts is pure mafioso.
