          Nice one Jamo.
What is the solenoid near the ecu with the vacuum piupes for? AC? Should it have anything to do with the ecu vacuum pipe?

That came up before recently and I can't remember the answer mate.

The ecu vacuum pipe should have a filter on it then straight run through the bulkhead IIRC.

This one was connected to that solenoid which I've never come across before.
Normally theyre just connected to that water trap then straight through the bulkhead.
Also normally the plastic pipe is green but on this one its black.

I think you are talking about the altitude adjuster but might be wrong, has a 3 pin plug going into it? pt no. 853 919 562? sits behind the outer kick panel infront of the n/s door?

No, the alt sensor is in the a post. I've bypassed the solenoid now and the car is running perfect. I'm pretty sure its for the ac

                  Thanks

Follow the vacuum hose from the ECU (MAP sensor) and the moisture trap shouldn't be far away.

It's in the footwell with the ECU. I'm not sure what happens if you don't have it. I guess the MAP sensor doesn't like moisture.
