Has anyone here installed 7A cams into an AAN head?
I have problems with the drove on the back of the intake cam.
It has different sizes.
can I replace the 7A drove with the stock or who do I solve it?
To the left stock, and to the right is the 7A
Not so, was stood last weekend looking at one. True not 100% dizzy as it had coilpacks, but still had a take off from the cam into a sort of dummy dizzy that housed the hall sender.

Well mine are distributorless.
The 3b engine with distributor has the same drove as the 7A who also got a distributor.
The early AAN is a bit one of a kind with the hall sender on the back of the intake cam.
So I think I have to replace the drove from the stock cam to the new 7A cam.
very early AAN used a blanked off dizzy that was used as the hall sensor for firing coilpacks. Its basically the same as I have done on my ABY converted 3B. Works fine. Anyway....
All I can suggest is that you source a 3B dizzy to replace the AAN type fake dizzy. This can be found easily and will plug straight into the wiring loom and work fine. Then you can fit the 7a cams.
As a matter of interest why do you want to fit 7a inlet cam? This increases lag by about 300-400rpm, but does give some gains on high power cars at high revs. Do you have any pics of the dizzy fitted to the AAN head? Not sure what angle it sticks out of the head at.

But well does it have a dizzy at all?
I have heard it is a hall sensor.
I think to raplace the drove is the easiest and safest way to go.
Does anyone know if the drove is fitted very hard? and what tools I shuld use to loosen the drove?
Im doing all for the power =)
I can get som pictures tomorrow.
The drive gear on the end of the cam is hard to remove without breaking the cam. The cams are very weak at that end. I wouldnt try that as 7a cams are becoming rare and if it breaks a replacement can be hard to come by.
