Show me your Typ85 intercoolers!

Hi fivebangers,

I need some inspiration for my 80q intercooler installation (~400hp).
I prefer "original" appearance, chopping the front is not the problem.

Some modification was needed to the lower bumper, but on mine 2 RS turbo units were put together. This would be fine for anything up to 450bhp.

i use the dialynx intercooler with water injection but inlet temps still climb too high to get anything much over 350bhp.I have a chargecooler project in progress that uses a modified standard intercooler which was made by Delta on this forum and his car used to run about 400bhp with it fitted.

Note, that plastic ends were meant to be temporary (as they were, for two years )

No supprisingly not.. i am using a GT30 and the lag is so small. it is being mapped shortly that will be the true test..
