    Lamda help

VAG-COM'd today to see what's causing my rough running.

    Got "00525 - Lamda Sensor - 29-10 - Short to ground - G39 - Intermittent".

Should I get a new sensor or is it a wiring problem?

    Lamdba shot?

My engine's still running rough and I'm suspecting the lamdba to be the reason.

Got 00525 fault code on VAGCOM. And when I unplugged the 2 Lamdba connectors today and went for a drive, the engine runs just as roughly - so this must mean the Lamdba's bust.

    Am I right?

Lambda is bust yes - change it, it's a quick and easy job.

Before you rush out and buy a new one, have you checked the fuse the lambda is on?

It the same one as the ISV.

Thanks - went to check the fuses and can only see "Heating for Lamdba-probe" fuse 25 (not blown).

I can't find the ISV fuse... is the Lamdba & ISV fuse outside of the fuse box?

              Cool.

Hopefully a new one will make a big difference - the car's really lumpy, splutters and just not nice to drive. Exhaust fumes smell really strong too.
