    Crank lightening good or bad?

I'm after a bit of advice if you can help. I am currently building a 3B with a GT3071R turbo and have an aluminium flywheel. I was thinking of lightening the crank in order to help cut the lag and also hopefully push my rev limit up to 8000rpm. I think this works in principle but by having a quicker revving engine, I think I would not allow the engine to reach full boost in lower gears? I was hoping someone might have had experiance of this before, or at least an opinion on the matter. I can't find much on this forum about it, but would like opinions. I am after a qucik road/track car at the end of the day, it doesnt have to be the quickest off the line but I want it to pull nicely from second upwards. Maybe if I just get it lightened a little?
