    3b problems

just chip`d the car and having problems 3B..

The car is a audi 80 quattro 1983 with a 3B engine and a s4 six speed box.

The problem is that when running normal boost 0,8bar it runs nice. When the boost is turned up to 1.0 and 1.2 bar the engine seems to have less power than it has on 0.8bar.. The chip is skn and i have tve 200kpa mapsensor (it would still be able to run 1.0bar i guess??)

I`ve checked the af ratio with a lambda, and @ 0.8bar is all good, when turned to 1.0bar and 1.2bar it richens the mixture a lot

I`m suspecting the knock sensor, but maybe you guys have some other suggestions??

The ECU controls the boost so if it senses higher pressure than the chip is mapped for it goes into safe mode. If you have an external boost controller and turn up the boost this might happen. If this is the case I would install the n75 valva again and get a 2,5/3Bar MAP and a chip mapped for the corresponding MAP sensor. Someone on here can help you with that..

Btw, welcome and I like your car! Would like to have something like that myself. Do you have s2/UR running gear on it?

i have the stock 80Q rear diff, and the front 4.11 S4 gearbox

I`m currently looking for 250 or 300kpa mapsensor for sale..

I`m also thinking about to use a swedish company named powerchip to replace the chip and map sensor.. They have a 3B chip with a 12sec pass on the 1/4 on stock fullweight s2
