Ok Few questions. My jetta is broken and its gonna cost alot to fix. My friend has an Audi 87 4000 Coupe GT RS2 I think. The only problem with it is its got a busted axle. I think i found a new one at a junk yard for cheap but im not sure if its right. Ive been searching for a while and it seems that the RS2 is a quattro avant from the 90's? i cant find anything with the RS2 5 cyl turbo motor being in a coupe GT from 87... Basically what im trying to do is fix the axle but im confused on if i have the right one. Can i get an axle from a 87 4000 Coupe GT and put it on. or is is a special RS2 one?

your right the rs2 is from the 90's and was an avant i wouldnt think it fits you need one from a quattro gt is the 4000 the same as our gt do you have a pic of yours94 s2 avant

I dont think the american market got quattro in their coupe's other than the ur quattro,therefore it must be a 2 wheel drive car.The 4000 was our 90 quattro type 85.....96 UrS6

Its a FWD 87 but i guess the motor is swapped? its not mine im borrowing it from my friend till i get the jetta fixed. If i found the right axle then i can fix it for 65 bucks and atleast get to work every day... The axle i found is for a 87 coupe gt FWD assuming that that will fit with that motor.
Im getting it towed to my house tomorrow and then ill take some pics. It was in great condition till he got in an accident someone hit him while changing lanes on the highway and spun him out into a guardrail. its only got front damage and a little bit of rust. Needs a new headlight hood and front right fender and its good again.Comment
