Spark plug connector - advice needed please

Hi all,

While doing a few jobs yesterday i found this:



The question i need advice on is obviously i need to replace that one but should i replace these aswell:


As you can see the little rubber 'skirt' on the bottom of the tubes have broken off, would this affect these working properly or would they be ok?

you should buy them directly from manufacture (beru) and they should be cheaper then

i remember finding mine to be a lot , lot worse than that when i took the cover of to do a leaking rocker cover gasket an spark plugs.. an well thought quick bodge with some old silicon pipe i had . put pipe over the old leads and well car was a lot better think i left it like it for about 4 months before i got around to doing them ,,an they still looked pretty good..one of those stories

I had an issue with our S4 miss firing for ages until i found a crack in one of those boots, turns out it was arcing onto the head instead of firing the spark plug.

Best price i found for them was beru items from 034. I'm sure Corey could do a nice deal on them??

Shame i ordered these as soon as i read Coreys reply, ahh well perhaps this would save some £££ for the next person this happens too

Sorry to be late with this post but www.fap99.com has a good price on these. I know the logistics arn't good as it's stateside but $4.50 each isn't a bad price at today's exchange rate. UrS4Boy has pointed this place out to the forum before.
