    Fuel rail problem

I have an Rs2 Rail and FPR and fuel up to the FPR. THe fuel does NOT get past the regulator to get to the injectors. What would cause the FPR to not let the fuel pass???

    Anyone?

    THanks....

Sounds like your pipes are crossed..

Fuel should get to the injectors before the FPR.

      Hi.

      THanks for your response.

So, does the "incoming" fuel from the tank go to the pipe that is at the end of the RS2 fuel rail?

It feeds the injectors and then the remaining "unburnt" fuel passes through the FPR and then back to the fuel tank?

Why would the fuel need to be regulatated after the passing by the injectors and on it's way back to the fuel tank?

      I don't understand that.

      Could you explain...

      Thanks again.,

      joe

Sounds right to me, If you think about it the fuel rail is pressurized by the fuel pump pushing fuel against the regulator on its return path to the tank. If you removed the regulator you would'nt get any pressure as the fuel would just flow back to the tank. Its the bottleneck if you like that builds the pressure.

Reason it sits after is because the fuel rail is the part its trying to regulate pressure on. If it was before the rail it would only regulate the pressure from the fuel pump to the regulator.

        Hope that makes sense...
