Boost loss Why??

Hi there, Right ive got a problem wiv my audi. Basically cars boosting at 4-5psi. Ive checked all the turbo spindals and grooves, all fine, the turbo bearings are all fine, Cheked pipes and intercooler all fine, What else cud it be??? Ive got a straight through stainless exhaust cud this be it?? Any suggestions please help cheers

hi mate, i would say check pipes again, i cant see the exhaust would cause any problems. I know these s2`s are prone to boost leaks

i think its somethink else though cause it was boosting at 10 psi, as standard then suddenly dropped, il have another look, cheers mat

Standard, i havent had it long, i took it to a gargae to get a diagnostic test but i need a workshop manual before they will do it so im waiting for a reply off audi, does anyone out there have one for sale?? where wud you get it chipped at and what bhp diff will it be.

Check the MAF and knock sensors.

Pressure test the intake system.

Why do they need a manual?

before i bought mine it was chipped , its now 277.5 . It has a homefries chip on it done bt a guy named paul on here, look out for s2central, very well recomended sorry i dont know the price but its cheap. The power gain is very good my s2 now boosts at 20psi when hot 23psi

something to do with there struggling to test it as the maual i have has a 3 connector american setup instead of 2??? mmmm im not high up with the electric scene. Cheers for that il let em know what ya said see if they can come up wiv out.

Thats correct there's 3 connectors but only 2 are used the white and black.

I suggest you take the car somwehere else then, as they clearly dont know anything about these cars...
the 3 plug system in some early 3B cars, like yours (and mine) has (probably) a blue a black and a brown plug.....?
They simply need to connect to black and brown.... instead of black and white, which is probably what they were expecting....

Try and find a forum member near, and get them to VagCom it, as Jamo suggests, this will be the best way...
