Noise Coming From The Back

I have this noise like rattle, or something vibrating, coming from the back of the coupe. The stange thing is it do's not increase with the throttle, so I wonder if its the fuel pump on the way out, its the only thing apart from the ash tray I hav'nt replaced on this bloody car so I suppose its possible. anyone with any ideas.

Is this with engine running and driving up the road? or engine running and parked?

I would be tempted to see if there was anything loose beneath the car, around the fuel filter area.... another thought, maybe exhaust rattling on something? (probably not, but its hard without hearing it...)
I would also suggest removing the base of the rear seat, its only 2 screws, and will allow an ear a bit closer to things.... get in the boot with the seats down.... stick your head under the rear bumper...
Its actually easier to find a noise if it does it when sitting still, avoids having to hunt while so eone else drives (or vice versa...)

ps, maybe rear ashtray? have you replaced that...?

I am with Jas on this. Replace the rear exhaust rubber mount and it will go away........................................maybe
