do you need a crank locking tool?

Yeah they are different, the 3b locking tool only locates onto the 'key' of the ABY crank pulley by a few mm's, and then there is the air-con ABY which is different again i think.
I made one which will fit all engine codes, but im on the other side of the world at the moment, otherwise i'd lend it to anyone who needed one.

The 3B and ABY ones are different they are different Audi tool numbers.

THE ABY is suppose to fit aircon and non aircon cars but it needs adapting to do so.
