    GT3071R 0.82 A/R or 0.63 A/R ?

I’m putting together my Audi again after a long brake. http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthr...ighlight=3071R

I have GT3071R turbo with 4.00 inlet. I have both 0.82 and 0.63 A/R hot sides with T3 Garrett flange. I have read mixed opinions on the forum with people talking to use both.

What A/R Turbine Housing to use on 2281 cc engine ?

What nubmers people have made with that turbo (I5 2.2L engine) ?

Use the .63 can get you between 420-450 BHP no problems

The .82 can get you a bit higher HP but for me it's not worth the trade of in lag as the numbers and throttle response of the .63 just make it the best comprimise IMO

          Will do.
I have 7a cams but probably just the exhaust one will do in.

I have read the Roos topic, but there is no info about the A/R of the turbo he is using. I did a search but did not find a topic where somebody did use this turbo to its maximum potential.

Ross was using the .63 AR and there is a plot fo a 2871 using the 0.63 as well.

There is also a post of a member who used the .82 but found it too laggy.

Boost on the 3071 was around 3300rpm with 1.9 boost on the dyno and 2bar on the road

                It's all there.

Having plotted my data against the compressor map (for the .63 - as Jamo said this is what i was using) there is scope for more boost in the mid/high range. By 7,000rpm you need to start bringing it back below 2bar though.

I dyno'd 428, but i suspect you could run up to 2,5 bar from 5000-6500 for a bit power... I was using 7a ex cam and stock head & compression so there's a bit to be gained as you can imagine. I'd suspect if you push this beast with the hardware to support it, high 400s is quite possible!

Ok, thx guys. I know that I better stick with 0.63.

Anybody wants to buy 0.82 ?

Where did you buy the exhaust housings seperately?
