I'm going to install new Autronic management on my car. I'm thinking of taking the hole engine harness out and making a new one.
I must be a bit stupid because I can't find how the engine harness is possible to take out? I thought there is a connector inside the car on drivers side, under the fusebox, but I can't find it. Or don't I just know what I'm looking for?
Half of the engine harness is going up, to the fusebox and the other half is going to the ecu that is on the other side of the car. Right? In engine bay the harness is one piece. So do I need to open it? Like splicing it to half. So I can take the ecu harness away and the rest will stay?
I don't have any electric maps for this car, so this is like shooting with a shotgun... But am I correct that the other half is for the gauges etc. and the other half goes straight to the ecu?
My car is a -92 3B, LHD, engine is out, ecu is out, but the god damn harness is still there. It would be nice if the autocheck(is it called so?) display would still work after I change the management, but thats just a bonus...
