Engine break in...?

as i mentioned in my thread,i basically did what GT500 has described,currently running in 800Kms and i had to add some amount of oil.Used 10W40 for some stationary 10-15min first start of the engine to scrape all metal debree off and then used 10W60 castrol.

is it normal to use an amount of oil close to 600ml on such small Kms driven?i mean i understand that the rings dont seal off immediatelly,im just not sure since this is not my field and i have never done a rebuild!!

Yes, mine used a similar amount with that milage. It uses zero now!
Make sure you use plenty of revs now 5-6000 but still with the light throttle,no boost.
Go down hills in a low gear,so it revs with no throttle.

today i fitted the boostcontroler as well to minimize excessive boost.
at 1bar and then 0.8bar i see 800 degrees on the EGT sensor which is very good!
