scabby cam cover

Hi all,

My cam cover looks a bit sad on my 7A 20V engine.

I was wondering what people had done to theirs.

Mine is bare aluminium which had been painted 11 years ago with Hammerite Smoothrite paint.

I was considering bead blasting it and getting it clear anodised or just repainting it. The inlet manifold would need doing as well at the same time.

Any comments please?

Had my cam cover sand blastered and clear coated, looks good, works fine!

clear powdercoating maybe? Or pick your favorite color - pink??

whislt i had my engine out i smoothed it all done with wet and dry then polished it.

will try dig a photo out if you like. Will be getting grahams mate to do some chrome treatment on bits soon too.

Floddy and Dave I hadn't thought of clear coat, that may well be a good idea.

Dave I like Pink, But I wouldn't want her lying on my engine as I couldn't get the bonnet down:nana: I'd have other ideas

It will have to be after the meet, too much to do in the mean time.......

Ok then, when can you deliver? I'll let Dido out of the Coupe Boot, It's just slightley less cramped than Pink is under the bonnet. Maybe a slippermobile is the best, they could both fit in there with the wellies and the gun dog.
