Radiator and multi function temp switch: where to purchase!!

Hi guys,

As ever i am looking for your help regarding my s2

I have just discovered that my radiator is leeking and that the temp switch (the one which if your are stood on the passenger side of the car and looking at the engine) is also leeking it is the one with the rubber boot.

Where is best and cheapest for me to buy both of these items other than main dealers? Is it the case that i should stick with OEM parts only?
Euro car parts want £160.00 plus VAT for the 'rad' it is a genuine one so they say!

Any help would be great the car has been pretty reliable so i have never had the need to buy many parts in the past, this is my excuse for being clue less when it comes to purchasing parts!!

Beware of buying a new radiator made by Nissen I think it is.
They are meant to be crap. Behr is the make you want iirc but Im not sure if ECP or GSF stock them anymore? You may have to get a Nissen in the end?

Try GSF (german swedish and french) first (dont forget the S2 forum discount you will get thanks to Clive )

Temp switch is a main dealer only part (BTDT) or ring vagparts.co.uk for the same OEM parts but cheaper.

When you in there replacing the main radiator it makes sense to replace a few other parts you now will have access to.

Thermostat (GSF)
Turbo water hose (search the forum. But any good hose supplier)
"other" water hose - Vagparts or main dealer (or independant)
