Low oil pressure

Hi there all,
Ive been getting low oil pressure on my 10v recently (about 2.5-3 bar ), i have since had the head rebuilt (which needed doing anyway). This is due to be fitted in the next couple of weeks with a new MLS gasket.

Im hoping the above work will fix the problem, but im worried if this doesnt fix the problem what other potential problems could it be, my bottom end is running smooth, my oil temp sender may be replaced soon (which as far as im aware holds an oil valve?)

Any Ideas?

What rpm and oil temps are you getting the 2.5-3 bar? Also what oil are you using.

well i had some problems on mine audi s2. the problem was oil pressure sender, witch worked wrong so i replaced it and now all is ok.
according to mine knowledge oil valve is in oil pump (infront of engine)

Right im getting 2.5-3 bar at almost full chat (motorway, so 3000-3500rpm) and about 1 bar at idle
Using 10w-40 synthetic oil

Yeah the oil valve is on the oil pump, but i think the spring and valve is held in with the temp sender which is screwed into the oil pump, am i right?

And am i right in saying the oil pressure sender is the one on the block close to the rad?
