Running in new engine / turbo

    Hi,

I have finally got my GT3071 and new rods in place and my engine running. I have done close to 200 miles in it not going above 3000rpm. My main question is "Is it alright to spool the new turbo up under load to high rpm before the re-map?" Any other useful tips for new engine care would be helpful.

I would definately say NO, dont give it large if your still on a standard tune..because your current map will not be putting enough fuel in for how much air will be being forced in by the Gt3071....meaning you could run dangerously lean

If it was me I would keep it under 3k RPM and get a proper remap done!! Have you got suitable injectors etc
