    turbo + ??? EM

    Hi!

I have 2 questions, maybe someone can help with ideas etc?

    1) I wanted to know what EM to use with turbo GT3071R A/R .63?
    2) Whats the difference between menu items of compressor housing and exhaust housing here http://www.034motorsport.com/product...roducts_id=725 ? Witch options best to chose for inlet and exhaust of this turbocharger?

    Thanks!

Order from that link, You can use a Rs2 EM or any tubular manifold.

It depends on if you want a K26 or T3 flange on the turbo

      Thanks for answer!

Maybe you meen the RS2 EM from this link http://www.034motorsport.com/product...roducts_id=529 ?
I have heard, that RS2 EM are up to 420hp only. This one is better/modified? Some people say that its better if I set up a "spider" style EM, smth like this http://www.034motorsport.com/product...roducts_id=663

Havent buyed any turbos yet so can anyone tell/show differences between K26 and T3 flange? Or it depends on EM that I'm plaing to set up?

I meant standard RS2 EM and that it is only good up 420 is bullsh*t

K26 is round opening T3 is a squarish opening, K26 is the stock Audi one.

You need to decide which EM you want 1st

The RS2 EM hasn't really been proved that I'm aware of... I can attest to the fact it's fine at 430bhp and Doug can for 440bhp. Decide how far you want to push with power and then decide - I'd suspect that the new wagner RS2 equivalent will be your best bet if keeping stock-look is your aim, when it finally makes it to production!

            Thanks Jamo! Got it.

Ross: opz, error form me, sorry. re-readed message form one man, he told me that RS2 EM is fine up to 480HP not 420HP as I sayed, so it will be ok for the first try (I hope so).

So.. if I use RS2 EM, then I need to order GT3071R with whitch one option of these:

3 Flange, Ford 5-bolt, Int. or Ext. WG
            T3 Flange, 3" GT V-band discharge
            T3 Flange, 3" GT 4-bolt discharge
            T3 Flange, T3 4-bolt discharge
            T3 Flange, 5-bolt Internal Wastegate
            ?

Will I need to order smth more to get these two things together or it will be ok so far?

And what you guys say about the RS2 replica EM ( http://www.034motorsport.com/product...roducts_id=529 ) ? Will it be enought ok? Or it's better to use stock one?

Hi you'd order the turbo from the link I posted unless you are going to make your own water and oil lines?

As the OEM water and oil lines dont fit the turbo.

3071 in stock location will probably hit the side member if it has a bit larger turbine housing (as I presume it has) than 2871. 2871 is already really tight.

So that means no room for RS2 airbox?
                        Cheers mis amigos,

rs2 airbox fits just. There will be less than 1cm gap between comp housing and rs2 airbox with 2871 and if 3071 has same size comp housing it will also fit.
Snub mount stopper plate must be adjusted to be firmly against the snub.

Btw I think 2871 with small hot side isn't a good choise for our engines. It tends to surge. A lot. I had to limit boost below 3000 rpm really much to avoid surging. 3071 should be better surge wise.
