I dont want to Hijack the Thread but when i am thinking of pistons then other things come into my mind too: Coatings, lateral gas ports ect. What is good what not? Target: Reliability and Longlife. I dont something extreme that can do well for 30000km and then goes hoops.

My friend and a bunch of other Volvo people are using these in their B230FT 8v and 16v builds and from what I gather they are working great. They looked like nice pistons when I helped him build his motor.

Here's some pics of them in his build thread.

Had some interesting stuff back from CP.

We do have that engine on file ( S2 ) and can make stroker pistons to your specifications.

Cost $852.50 with lateral gas ports CP groove and contact reduction groove.

Pistons come standard with double pin oilers and accumlulator grooves.

What rings do you uses? We use our CPN rings. Info on them is on the last page of this link

what kind of wall clearance do your pistons run at? .0035”

I take it back the 0.0035" is 0.0889mm which is less than JE pistons.

They seem quite friendly on emails, this requires further digging.
