  • RS2 Turbo DIY.

In my usual "How do I do it cheaper mode?" Has any one replaced just the compressor/wheels of an RS2 to that of a K26 to make a poor mans version. I appreciate that they are material differences but having an unused K26/6 gathering dust, assuming I could purchase the individual components, would be less trouble than purchasing a used version of unknown origion.

The straight K26 off a 200q for instance is a very bad turbo, its compressor is actually worse than a stock K24.

What you can do however, is to mount an RS2 cold side on that K26's hot side, should be good for 380 HP with the appropriate remapping, especially due to the slightly larger and less restrictive hot side...
