    Smoke under load

Noted some oil use over recent months despite switching to 10-40w. Also noticed some oil spots on bumper after a 300mile round trip and the oil from top to bottom on dipstick.
Never any smoke except usual white on cool damp mornings as water in exhaust burns off.
Today coming round roundabout on Edinburgh bypass gave it WOT in second and covered the irritating car behind in blue-grey smoke.
Checked all at home and the oil spots have reappeared on rear bumper.
Car running well with full boost and no hesitation.

    To save guessing from folk
    1 No fault codes
2 New lambda 12 months ago
3 New MAF 12 months ago
    4 PCV cleaned and replaced
5 Never had a boost leak and passed the MRC pressure test last year. Running well with no hesitation so seems unlikely.

This is oil getting out under load ? turbo (original) ? valves (new short engine block prior to my owner ship under audi warranty so I guess original head)

Try running 10W60 fully synth to prevent the oil breaking down under the extreme temperatures in the turbo and therefore being blown out the turbine.

Was it a right-hander round about by any chance? Likely a bit of oil getting up into the crank case breather hose and burning off. Not a big deal and it should go away after a little driving. If it persists though, then you may have to dig deeper.

Thinking more about this I wonder if it is the PCV/breather system. I changed it two years ago . It did not have a great deal of cr*p in it. Turbo should smoke at idle and valve stems on overrun.
Best go give it some beans and find out more

look in the ic and se if there are oil in .... if it NOT the breather system, it mostly the turbo: you can have soem play up and downs in turbo, but NOT in/out... thrustbearing and seal gone....i think its so in your engine.

Also check the spark plugs are in properly and the cam cover inner seal is in good condition. I had similar symptons last year caused by that

MRC did these earlier this year. All looked good
