Hi Guys and Gals, new here and already got questions

First of all Hi everyone. Since I've bought a 1994 ABY S2 coupe It's great to find a forum dedicated to the S models. I've just finished a degree course in Motorsport Engineering and personally specialise in 3D design, Conceptual mechanics and Twincharging systems.

Ive already got a few questions. First of all let me give you the low-down on the plans. Myself and a friend have had a few years experience with Twincharger systems and occasionally get to do a little design of our own. I'm especially adventurous and wish to Twincharge the I5 engine in the S2.

Our targets are (far from modest)

The engine must produce 895kW (1200HP or near as damnit) at the crank.
The car must reach a top speed of 210 mph as recorded by GPS.
The engine must be equipped with 1 Lysholm screw supercharger and 1 turbocharger.

Id appreciate some input over the following areas.
I have searched the forum, but found it hard to piece together information over the ABY type vehicle and its engine. Id like to know how this engine structually differs from its predecessors.

Also, it's just not practical to run boost in excess of 55psi+ on the standard 2.2 litre, a 2.5 stroked engine would require a fair bit less, and this seems to be the way to go.
Again I really have searched the forum, I hope I dont annoy anyone for not being too thorough. What is the best way to increase the capacity of the engine without increasing the bore size?. I have the necessary means to produce custom EN40B cranks and such but Id really rather copy an OE crank and beef it up from there (that way I can use laser measurment and define a 3D map from there, saves all the designing from scratch)

Ive noticed that a lot of the I5 engines are interchangable in some aspects, is there a preferred combination i.e. does the diesel block have thicker cylinder wall thickness etc. . .

Sorry for the abrupt introduction and pesky newbie antics.

If anyone has questions about Twincharge systems or is interested in system designs feel free to ask away.

    Cheers

    J

If you do a search for 'stroker' that would be a good start.

Lol, I did my man. But as mentioned I'm finding it a little hard to piece together the information that appears. It seems there are a few ways to do it. I guess I'll just have to keep digging. Cheers

Wow 1200bhp, Jonus is going to be the man you need to talk to.
I heard they were going for 1600BHP

If you use a diesel tall block and a 95.5mm crank you can get 2.5 litres easy enough. But if you have the ability why stop at 95.5mm? I'm sure Caterpillar has done some sums on 100mm cranks and stroker combinations.
