      Cheers buddy!

Has anyone tried the Iridium plugs with the tiny electrodes that Denso and NGK are doing? I'm trying to find the equivalent to the Bosch plug so I can whack in a set at my 90,000 service...

A friend has a Nissan 200SX and is heavily into tuning - they have an excellent reputation and the Densos are available in cooler options in 500 degree increments so as you tune you can go colder to avoid detonation at high boost pressures and temperatures etc.

Ok chaps. Thanks to the amazingly quick (and on a Sunday) response from sparkplugs.co.uk I now have the information I need to buy either NGK Iridium or Denso Iridium plugs for my RS2. He has given me part numbers for standard and colder ones for tuned engines:

Denso untuned: BKR7EIX or colder for tuned: BKR8EIX
NGK IX untuned: IK22 or colder for tuned: IK24

I will post my impressions after the service.

will be good to hear how they go. Heard in the past that heir cars didnt perform when they had swapped to different plugs.

Will be good to see what these ones are like.

The really good news is that Rob Hemsley at sparkplugs.co.uk confirmed that the S2 uses the same plugs... once I have acted as guinnea pig :wacked: you can arrange a group buy (though I haven't broached the subject of bulk discounts).

Just under 60 quid a set by the way...

NB The NGKs use a 0.6mm electrode as a compromise between spark power and service life of up to 60,000 miles in a car, though may be less. The Densos use a 0.4mm electrode and I've been told they may only last 10,000 miles so I'm going to change them at every service...

I've tried a bunch iof different brands including NGK and Denso in my old S2, the only plugs that works after a couple of mile is the Bosch F5DP0R.

But it will be interesting to see if it works for you, and if they still works after 2-3 weeks.
