Scat Rods Mounting question (engine REBUILD)

Hi i have some questions about the scat rods i'm about to put in my engine.

What is the correct torque setting for these ones in NM ?

And witch way should the rods be mounted,
The grooves towards the intke side, or the exhaust side ?

The two dimples (dont know what they are called in english)

Will be mounting them tomorrow so a quick answer are appriciated.

Also i had only .004 axialclerence with the new main bearings, manual said .007mm to .023 it turns very easy.

    Inches or mm's?

Also i had only .004 axialclerence with the new main bearings, manual said .007mm to .023 it turns very easy. What is the radial clearance?

    Best Regards Per Eriksson[/QUOTE]

3b manual quotes 0.07 to 0.23mm axial clearance. Just a typo error in the above? Is the .004 measurement in inches therefore its .004 thou = .1mm

So the axial clearance is fine.

If your using the ARP bolts its 70 lb/ft (95NM i think it is converted) with the supplied moly grease!!! (dose it not says this on the side of the SCAT box you had them supplied in?)
As for which way round the rod should be, im dont think it makes any difference (unless any one will proove me rong) i personally have put them all the same way tho.
Probably the longet S2 project in history EVER!

With my ARP2000 bolts for the h-beam Conrods I have, comes the following text

        So 45 ft/lbs x 1.35 = 60Nm

Just to be sure, you're checking the crankshaft axial clearance @ no. 4 bearing. In maths 0.07 minus 0.04 = approx 1.4 thou!

Sounds like the bearing caps/thrust washers are wider (1.5 thou!) than oem, manufacturing tolerances probably, unless you want to try and measure them against your old ones.

On an axail clearance i wouldnt worry, radial clearance at the main bearing is the important tolerance for correct oil lubrication.
