  • Crank pulley 27mm bolt

Does anyone know if the 2.5 Tdi engine (AEL and AAT) do have "left" or "right" crank pulley ( harmonic balancer) threaded bolt (the "big" 27mm one)? Having some problems to get it loose so I now was just worried I was turning it the wrong way!!

    Thanks

    Marco, would ETKA not say?

If it is the same part number as another bolt S2 or similar, this may tell you. Other than that I cannot help.

      OK!

Got rid of the bolt, finally. It was a std. "right" thread. Problem is Audi applyes loads of Loktite on them so I had to heat bolts head with a welding torch (wet wraps around balancer and over oil pump housing to prevent damage) to burn loktite off.

Once cooled down it came out quite easy (still needed a 2000 Nm airwrench, though :eek2: )

      Ciao
