    DV-Inlet manifold vacuum hose diameter

Just been replacing the vacuum hoses on the car with new hose from VAG parts(3.5mm)
Is this the correct size from the dv to the inlet manifold?Took old one off and seemed slighty larger bore size.
Whats the correct size if this is not right, and what will happen if I use the new tubing I have got.
Is the VAG tubing the correct one generally to use to replace old vacuum hoses

AFAIK, all the vacuum hose diameters are 4mm

      Is size really everything

Will 0.5mm bore make a difference in the running of the car from the 4.0mm standard. I have just replaced my vacuum hoses with 3.5mm as well. Am i loosing something from the car?
