knocking from engine

i appear to have a knocking coming from my engine, its there between tickover and about 1500 rpm, it goes away at higher revs & also goes quieter when the oil has warmed up.


its particularly apparent since i changed the oil the other day, is there someone near aldershot with expirience who can have a look and tell me whats wrong, where i should take it and how many organs i should auction???

Did you put enough oil back in the car after the oil change? It sounds as though you have sticky tappets due to lack of oil...

What weight Oil did you use Ian? 10W40?

Sounds like not enough oil as pointed out. Think the recommended is 10 - 50 from what i've been told. Someone should come along and clarify this shortly tho

Mine was like this before but it was the waterpump bearing was ****ed
