    What parts?

I've had my S2 now for nearly a month and I have realised one thing: buying parts from Audi SA is extremely expensive and they never have stock (which means a 3 week wait to get from Germany). For example, I broke the WGFV last night (I think the plastic was already cracked). Vagparts.com sells it for GBP 25. Audi SA wants GBP 60 :eek2: :eek2: :eek2: and there isn't a single one in South Africa - so a 3 week wait!!!

My Dad is coming out from the UK next month and I think the clever thing to do is to order a few parts that might need replacement from vagparts. I think I need to order the following:

    WGFV
    WG Diaphram
    Lambda Sensor
Spark Plugs - (would like to try the Iridium NGK's perhaps a grade colder)
EBC Red Pads (our importer is totally useless)

What else should I order (remember it has to be small items). I have already replaced the DV and have ordered SAMCO hoses with the group buy. I am going through everything that might be wrong with the car so I still have no clue what else is about to go! I need to know what is likely to go!

Your assistance would be really appreciated!

    Brake disks

    Hi Gandalf

How do your brake disks look? They are heavy and I can tell you from personal experience that the freight costs just as much as the parts themselves.

And you are right Audi SA is totally useless. Why pay the middleman?? :nana:

    Cheers
    Craig

Craig - the disks are relatively OK. I need EBC Reds to take the car on the track- normal pads just don't cut it on the track! I have fried too many sets of normal pads(and disks probably as a result of melting pads) on the track. At least the Porsche fronts on the S2 are much better than the crappy setup on the standard S2 or on my S6 for that matter.
