that means about 5.9psi... ok... it's a nice pressure to make an economic injection map. I'd love to use the stock N\A header cuz it's an amazing and beautiful design but the end of the header is too low... I should make a custom header for that turbo. Bro, thanx again!!! In the next months I should look for the engine and gearbox!

surely its just cheaper and easier to buy an S2 than doing all the conversion work you are proposing?

I really was close to buy a Red 3B S2 with 220.000km on it, 4.000 euros but here within more bhp from factory, more taxes to pay and more inssurance to pay too! My age helps to increase the amount in fact... With 2 litres and 160bhp I pay 350 a year of taxes and euro 1.500 a year of insurance... with the S2 (220bhp) taxes and insurance costs increases about a 25-35% more. I prefer to stay with my 2 liter engine (on the paper) and having a 2.2T under the head and still paying ~1.800 a year. The AAN\3B\ABY will cost me about 800 or 900, the stand alone ECU about 400, I already have a T3 turbo (a friend of mine needs my turbo for his 320d, I told him yesterday that if he finds me a K27 or a T3\T4 we could exchange turbos), then an aftermarket turbo header, I can do it by myself too... and the engine rebuilt made by me. I know... this country's law SUCKS!

You could use your original cyl head on an S2 bottom end. The engine number is on the head not the block so it would still say NM****** and look like your standard 2litre to the uneducated :mischeif:

you can use ALL IL5 and v6 ( petrol or diesel) they will fit in( also the " MY STROKER PROJEKT" ) in this forom.....2600 IL5...

hahaha 2.6L sounds to be extremely agressive!!! LOL like aronmatic's S2! dudes... I can't even think about how much gasoline could burn a 2.6, GT40R turbo@ 2bar, 7500rpm... about 700-800bhp... wow... I came from venezuela and that's a car to go over there... petrol costs are at MAXIMUM 0.02 euros per liter! hahaha what would you all guys do with 0.02euro p\liter gas???? hehe With ONE euro I was doing the full tank...here in italy with 10 I just make 7liters

Anyway... if the engine serial is on the head...then ... SUPERB... depending on the engine rings, bearings and all internal stuff I'll just need to put the bottom end and my head (I think about using my stock intake manifold... give me some opinions please!)

I needed to do some questions... yeahh.. well, how much boost pressure (or bhp) resists all the 3b\aan\aby bottom end? I'm talking about bearings, conrods, pistons, crank, and anything else that could break easily. I red lot's of posts, and I've decided not go for the K27, boost comes at too high rpm... I'll look for a nice T3\TO4E or stay with the little T03bb

OH!! and some months ago I was thinking about making a VR6 swap, make it twin turbo and about 400bhp. I LOVE THAT ENGINE! But, to tell you the truth... I don't want intallations troubles, I want to make the thing as easier as possible... In venezuela I had a NIssan Silvia S13, the stock engine was a CA18DET and when I blown it I did the RB25DET (2.5L L6, 24V turbo Skyline engine) swap... I now can tell you... I don't want headaches anymore!!! The Audi L5 3B family is strong enough, runs a lot well and it's factory turboed... the Vr6 need some internal mods to run safely at 380-400bhp. On my future L5 bottom end I'm just planning a limit power of 400bhp... with 370 I'm ok too!

don't tune the engine "alittle" ..."only 400" hp... its VERY expensive
the conrods are the weekest point: CHANGE them to H-profil...when rebuld the engine anyway. cheapest maybee( www.stenparnermotor.se)

Bro... I might need your help... I don't understand anything in that web page!!! How much does it cost the H-beam conrods from that manufacturer??? How many bhp does resist the stock con-rods??? What about the stock pistons...are them strong enough to support about 400bhp? As I told ya before... My limit will be 400hp... those are enough ponys to me hehehe

about 105 euro pr conrod.... theese rods are safe; think they hold 250hp, but stock arent safe( max 80hp pr conrod) stock conrods are 144 x20 pin x 50,5 bigend..ok?

ok.... With stock conrods I'd be just on the limit F&$%!!! Hey! the difference between the stock ones and the H-beam is enormous!!! 400hp stock and more than 1200hp with the other rods... Well... other 500 euros for the mods Ok bro, I took note of the rods specs! thanks!!!
