Just one thought on this, with no intention of busting Justin's b@lls:
If the I-Beam rods were so good as Pauter says, why don't car manufacturers use them directly as OEM, at least the I-Beam profile if not Pauters directly?
The other problem when you're quoting "I've bend just about any other rod on the market" is that you'll always find one idiot or another who will bend even the best brands of rods available, simply because he will try to make things 200% of what's normally possible, can you blame the rods for that? IMO not. I've heard of guys who have bent Carillos before, but every time you try to find a good reason for bending the rods, you'll see "I was running 35+ psi on pump gas in CA" or "I tried to go too far with the timing advance" or stuff like that. Does all that imply that the rods are faulty?
Definitely not.
The day I build my monster motor, I'll go for a set of Carillos.
C'mon Justin, get us some real nice prices on Carillos and I'll get myself a set too!
Cheers,
Mihnea
