    Another thanks to MRC

    Hi Guys,

Yesterday I finally had my appointment with MRC, long story short my little 90 now goes like a rocket whilst still idling beautifully, cold starting and with relatively safe EGT. I couldnt be happier! I wish my undertray had decided stay on for the whole day. Also at 140mph slight tracking issues feel a bit worrying. All I need to do now is find a rolling road near bristol, sort out my steering pump, suspension and bodywork! Thankyou Doug and Mihnea!

here's a question that just struck me....where does the customer/MRC stand legally if you a mapping on the fly at a speed over national speed limit and you get pulled????

If you are driving then you get the fine/ticket, simple as that!
I personally would never get my car live mapped on the road, for that reason and others too

You haven't seen where they map the car :mischeif:

@ Dest real time mapping is far superior to RR mapping and is one of the reasons why MRC maps are superior in some respects to other mappers

For exmaple Ross's car, On the road MRC managed to map his car to 2 bar boost no problems on the RR it was at 1.8-1.9 and kept getting a fat boost spike.

Chen was it a generic or real time map you had?

The debate of mapping on public roads v rollers is a HUGE one, so lets not turn it into an argument
There are obviously pros and cons for each, and each tuner has their own prefered way of doing things too.

Alex, try Circuit Motors at Castle Combe, I'm going there Saturday morning to use their new Dastek 4wd rolling road. Paul is a good chap IMO and I hope he'll do a good job, will report back.

Interpro struggled with anything over 350bhp on their rollers and there's Powerstation at Tewkesbury but they're mega-bucks!

Hopefully see it sometime and have a ride! Be interesting to compare c400bhp on a 3071 to c300bhp on a k24.

I had to take a diversion back to MRC after testing my WGFV up that road! Basically there was a patrol car on the other side of the carriage way parked up, who then proceeded to drive off as I went past. As it happens I was probably not over the posted limit but I did accelerate hard.

Mind you, I found some fun country roads on the way back!

i never said i was against the use of a private test track... after mine is back on the road I will probably look to get a custom map and replace the generic one if I can afford to hike the power to rs2 levels.

It was a real time map done by Mihnea, it drives so smoothly I have had a smile on my face all day. I would also like to thank Ross who had basically done it all before, his thread helped me choose the set up I was after
