    GT30R and .82AR hotside?

    Hi

Maybe someone could help me a bit

I' m using gt30r in my car, but I have one problem. I doesn' t hold boost till redline. I mean, if I will force it, no any benefit. It peaks around 35psi and drop at the redline around 29-30psi.

034 IIC, 7a cams, scat rods, 8,5:1, wagner intake and tubular, etc.

If I push it more, it will detonate, if I retard timing power will go also.
a/f with full boost around 11,5 . . .egt after turbo max 650-700C*.

What sould I do if i want to push gt30r more at the top end? Other cams (timing)? Bigger hotside?

    regards,
    marek

One thing though is your AFR is very rich. It needs to be leaned out to about 12 or 11.8 max on the setup.

2.4 bar on a GT30R - nice, from my reasearch the GT30R will hold around 2.1 bar ( 29 psi ) at high levels.

yes I know about a/f . . . I will lean it, if egt will allow, I' ll will try even 12,5 max at full boost.

If I look turbo (comp.) map:

it should hold a bit more than I got. At the moment car peaks even 37-38psi, but I have to drop at the redline around 30psi. After 7000rpm it drops below 30psi. My goal is to hold 32-34psi around 7500prm. Using regular 98octane fuel.

Maybe hotside of turbo a bit little for that? Maybe backpressure going to big?

      thanks

Have a word with Aronmatic he has the same turbo and boosts to 2.0 bar, so does Anderss2 but he only boosts to 1.4 bar. Both run the 0.82 hotside

I have the same turbo but haven't installed it yet.

I'm sure it's not going to boost much higher on the I5 setup mate.

I have talked with Aronmatic in past

He told me, that he didn' t got nothing more with 2,3bar compared with 2bar (with .63ar). With 0.82ar more top end, but still 2bar boost.

If this all true, I' m a bit disappointed with gt30r . . . but hey, there' s always gt35r with bigger hotside stroker would help it too, but turbo is easier to change

at the moment car is doing 100-200km/h around 7sec according speedo. But it' s not enough

          thanks

I would have a look on motorgeeks as well mate.

You dont need insane boost levels with the Garretts in comparison to a KKK turbo due to the amount of air they flow.

Hey all, wanted to share about Christian's Coupe Quattro project that we've been working on (Christian works at 034EFI if ya didn't know 8) ), we basically threw the catalog at it, here are the specs: -Stage IIc with 034 DIS Coils, 034 Crankpulley, VR bracket, etc -2.5l (92.8mm x 82.75mm...

I know Christian car well, but he has stroker as well and don' t need that much boost to get same result.

I just want to get a bit more, compressor map looks promisingly . . .

              thanks

I hoping to run 2 bar on a 2.5 stroker

i tryed more boost on my car . i have .86ar. on 2.6engine
i had 2.6bar, but i dont fill more power like on 2.1bar. it can boost 2.4 at 7600rpm.
i think 2.1bar is the good pressure with this turbo.
did you check the wastegate? what spring do you have.
where do you feed from, with n75?
you have to be happy with this turbo. this is the best for street. i hope you will find the problem soon.

I' m using a 034motorsport 2.2bar wastegate spring, boost controlled by regular n75. Wastegate membrane have changed

what boost controller are you using, use a pressure regulator from an industry firm. I can go 2.3 bar to 8000 rpm

I would not use N75. Try using a manual boost controller. Then the boost will be better managed.
