Has anyone ever re tourqued there head bolts. I know that the audi head bolts are streach bolt ,but Ijust wondered if any one has ever re tourqued the head, or had any need to

Audi head bolts are of the stretch type, and can only be used once.
They do not need retorqueing as the procedure for the ABY and 3B is
40 Nm
60 Nm
180 degrees
The angle tightening is there to give a more accurate figure, as a torque setting might click out if one of the bolts is a little bit tight in the hole, when building an engine i cut 2 slots in the end of an old head bolt and run it down the bolt hole to make sure the threads are clean.
