Whistling noise on boost

Since I rebuilt the engine on my 3b, and have now done sufficant miles to open it up, it seems to whistel on boost. I have done a boost leak test ,and all seems ok,the car seems to fly,its just this whistel.I can hear it quite clearly with the windows shut,and I have to say it sounds like high pressure air esscaping. Anybody with any ideas.

Where is coming from? Could it be your exhaust?

Probably happens when the car starts to boost.

Did you get new samcos fitted?

Its hard to say where its coming from, up fround on drivers side as far as I can tell. It sounds more like air than exshaust, it rises with the boost, if that makes sence

Hmmm sure its not the turbo spooling up?

It may be that its the turbo spooling up,its just that I don;t get this sound from my s6.and yes I do have samcos. Just wondering if anyone else gets this whiteling sound.

I can hear the turbo spooling up quite loudly on mine at the right revs and as the boost rises.

Try to move your damp valve and n75 valve out few mm.

Check that your turbos compressor blades are fine.. a nicked or broken blade will whistle away the whole day.

I'll check mine tomorrow if I can get a chance, with mine just sounds like the boost spooling up and you can hear it inside the car its not too loud so don't think its too bad or that anythings wrong.

Blades are ok,checked them. This sound only happens on W.O.T as the turbo is building boost,and its a constant pitch.

Sounds like what mine does, gets to a certain volume and stays there.

Could be a cracked exhaust manifold.

This dos'nt sound like an exshaust noise, more like when you put your finger over a bi'cycle pump,only louder.But I will check the exshaust manifold

do you have an induction kit or are u using original airbox?
