    Ecu vs homefry

Is there anything in the ecu that can affect something like a homefry from working properley, map sensor, vacuum line?

Both. What's the problem? Might help suggest the culprit.

Borrowed S2 central,s loaner ecu and it was to say the least pretty darn impressive,no probs at all tons more bottom end torque, turbo spooling up quicker, felt like everyone says like an S2 should be.
got mine done and not matching the loaner, less grunt, spooling up later, just feels different to the loaner.
Not doubting Pauls fries, have heard great things about them.

Oh dear... have you got a boost gauge to look for fluctuations from a boost leak? Have you contacted Paul?

Have you just got used to the power? Or changed fuel to 95 from 98?

Yes have contacted paul, wating for reply.car is full of optimax, and has been since I took loaner out to return.
Definite difference and I haven't got boost gauge fitted, sometimes you can just feel the difference, and the car just doesn't feel quite right.
          Any ideas

Might be worth checking the ECU if you're savvy in the dark arts. Otherwise, leave well alone and wait for Paul to get back to you. If the air temperature is substantially higher then that will make a difference but not too much.

Vacuum line on ECU needs to correctly fitted and not leaking. As does the rest of the pipe back to the engine. I would check all parts disturbed whilst refitting ECU first.

              Good luck.

              Cheers,

              Steve.
