Need a point to the cam position sensor install tolerances
Need a point to the cam position sensor install tolerances
This is for an AAN but should be the same as an ABY or ADU with the cam position sensor (Hall-effect sender) located behind the cam sprocket, not like the sender in the Tuna can that the 3B has. My Bentley manual does not seem to know the difference between a 3B and an ABY.
Diagrams would be good. I know I have seen one somewhere but nothing showed up in a search of the engine forum.
TIA

Simon: Thanks but I am aware of that thread. If you look, I participated in it at the time. One thing I noted was that you can buy just the Hall Sender (without the bracket) for about 10 GBP from BB AutoMacao in New York City. The other thing that I note now in reviewing your post, you may NOT need to take the car apart like you did to replace the CPS. I know that with the C4 S4/S6 you do not have to - but there is likely a bit more room there so I really don't know about an ABY (or ADU) in the B4 chassis.
What I am still looking for is the dimension specs for the location and clearances of the CPS relative to the cam sprocket for a conversion of a 3B head to run a AAN/ABY cam position sensor.
Thanks for trying.
