    PTS have my car

Saturday morning was the day of the big test, i went to PTS in Luton for a rolling road session...30 minutes into the session i was told that my turbo was not working and that she was only putting out 119 bhp and 160LBS of torque. I have been shaking in my boots all weekend about wat the cuase could be and how expensive its gonna be, anyway turns out the they found an air leak in the pipe work that has now been sorted. I will be picking up the car later to rip the pants of it, as i was very dissapointed in her performance before.

Can anybody telly me why i got 150mph out of her with only 119 BHP...it took a while to get there but she made it in the end.......

    OK Andy,

A 1949 morris Minor has 27.5bhp and vcan do 58MPH if you supercharge it it has 48Bhp and will then do 82MPH the CD factor is .40.

If we assume the 116BHP is at the wheels, the cd of a coupe is .32?. Speedometers are a bit out at high speed they are allowed to be +10% -0% i.e. speed could be 144Mph. If the tyres are worn down or a lower rolling radius than stock there is another possible reason for the speedo showing faster than actual speed.

These factors add up to show how the speed can be justified. Also at the time the car may have had more than 116BHP which would help.
